Wonderings on a Tea Party

There you are, come with me, I have a surprise for you.

Follow me into the woods.  The breeze is cool on our skin and the trees whisper softly, telling tales of all that they have seen and wondering on all that is yet to happen.  Don't listen to close though, they might spoil the surprise.

Over the fairy bridge we go, careful of those naughty little pixies, we don't want to end up being pushed into the water by the cheeky things.

Here we are at the boathouse.  Over the rustling of trees and the singing of the birds, music can be heard faintly in the background.  Have you guessed what the surprise is yet?

Yes!  It's a tea party!

Would you like some tea?  It always seems to taste so much nicer when it's made in a pot.

How about I cut you a nice big slice of cake?

Yummy, I do love a tea party.  Sharing tea and cakes with friends, gossiping and laughing.

Today is such  special day that even Joseph the Duck has come out to play.  He certainly looks very dapper in his coat, he's in pink especially for the party.

Shall we dance?  Have you got your special dancing shoes on?

Twisting, spinning, skipping and twirling.  Laughing as we dance, our skirts swishing around our legs and our jewellery chiming it's own little tune to the music.

Shhhh look over there.  It seems we have a visitor.

One of those naughty little pixies must have followed us when we crossed the fairy bridge.  If there is one thing that pixies love more than causing mischief it's eating cake.  Lets just pretend we don't know he's here, there is plenty of cake to go around.

Phewee all that dancing and cake has left me feeling a little queasy.  Lets kick of our shoes and take a walk in the garden.

I do the love the feel of soft grass on my bare feet.  I think the garden must have heard we were coming, she has certainly put on a beautiful show for us.

The flowers look and smell beautiful.

Shall we go back to the party, I think I'm ready for some more cake.  That's if the pixie hasn't eaten them all
.

Yay!  It is so exciting to be taking part in my first Mad Tea Party, I hope you enjoyed visiting, I'm looking forwarding to seeing everybody else's.

Hello! And thank you for such a fun visit. I have to agree, those are cheekie pixies - they tried to push one of the grand kids in the water. She just laughed and started the dancing early - all around the pixie - and now they are great friends! And what a lovely tea set - so simple and delightful. And what a tasty piece of cake. YUMMY! Thank you for such a lovely visit. :) Do visit us back at KidsToyTeaSets.com/Mad-Tea :)

What a wonderful tea party, especially for being your very first time! I apologize for not hitching up my skirt during the dancing, but, being a guy, I didn't have a skirt to hitch. I really loved the cake, and I'm so glad you didn't keep track of how many pieces I ate. That pixie told me to eat as much as I wanted, because he could make more magically appear. I hope you have a party again next year, because I'll be sure to come!

So sorry I am late
For this important date.
I'm still making my way down the list.

With too little time
I'm leaving this rhyme
For I'm adamant about wanting to persist.

All this running about
Has left me dry in the mouth.
Might I have a cup of tea?

Your cakes with berries
and those in cups
are so very tempting to me

Oh my, the time
It goes so fast
I must be on my way

But fear not friend
I shall return
Please……Have a beautiful day.
