Tea Party Time!!!

It is finally wonderfully sunny here in England, the perfect time for a tea party in the garden.

The table is set;

The drinks have been poured;

Of course the fairies will be joining us, they've flown in especially.

This one is just finishing her book.

Humans call it a fairy tale,

but to fairies, they are biographies.  She remembers that little chap, he was a cheeky thing.

Perhaps even an elf will make an appearance.

The thing that I love about Mad Tea Parties is that things are never quite as they seem.

There might be beautiful flowers on the table;

Lemons and corals bright in the summer sunshine.  They are not the only flowers though.

What flowers are these?  They are rather peculiar looking.

If fact, I'm not sure these are real flowers at all.  They're not!  They're made of paper.

*sigh* Well at least the tea is real and it comes with a biscuit.

Although can you trust a tea pot with feet?

I'm not sure you can, something about that tea just doesn't look quite right.

Why isn't it moving?  I don't think it's tea at all.

Nope, that definitely isn't tea.

Why it's panna cotta!

Vanilla panna cotta with a salted caramel sauce, yum!  It's as nice as tea..... well almost.

Now the scones, they most certainly are real.

Always served best with clotted cream and jam. Ummmmm my favourite.

Do you have room for some cake?  The fairies chose it, apparently she's a bit of a celebrity in fairy land.  Although they did initially want to go for a One Direction cake, I soon talked them out of it.

Shall we take a walk?  There is lots to see in the garden.

The grapes are growing well, there will be plenty to make wine from later in the year.

The willow tree is used to having things hanging off it.  If it's not summer wreaths it's swings, and little people hanging from the swing.

Of course Tea Parties are mad and gorgeously girly and as much as the men folk enjoy setting up and eating cake, chip butties and pints of beer are on hand to help them counteract the girliness. :-)

Thank you so much for joining me.  I'm off to London for the Doctor Who Proms today but I can't wait to visit you all when I get back. :-)

Love and laughter
Rachel xx

Ps Huge thank you to my Mum and Dad for letting me use their garden.  Also of course to C for helping me and my lovely step-children for not hitting the table whilst playing ball. :-)

What a darling beautiful party! That footed tea pot is darling, and if it always pours out salted caramel panna cotta, I would definitely keep it! Yum! Lovely pictures and gorgeous growing things...I'm sure the fairies had a hand in that. :-) A very merry unbirthday to you and yours!

Also, I can't help but comment about you going to London for the Dr. Who Proms...so envious over here. Haha. I can't wait to see who the new Doctor will be, once they finally announce it. Ack, the waiting is agony.

Thanks for letting me share in your magical day. When you get a free moment, stop by my tea party.
